Audio Notes & Recording

1. How to Record an Audio Note

Noisy is an audio-first social network. Recording your thoughts is simple and fast:

  • Open the Noisy app and navigate to the Recording screen (center waveform icon in the navigation bar).
  • Tap the large circular Record button. A pulsing indicator will show that your microphone is actively recording.
  • Tap the button again to stop recording. Each audio note can be between 1 and 60 seconds long.

2. Reviewing Your Recording

Once stopped, Noisy generates a visual audio waveform of your recording. You can tap play/pause or drag along the minimap to preview your audio before sharing.

3. Adding Captions & Post Visibility

Before publishing, you can type a text caption in the "Write something..." field. On the right panel, select your post visibility:

  • Connected (Default): Shared with all your accepted connections on their Noisy audio feed.
  • Specific Connections: Tap individual user profile avatars to restrict the post visibility to selected friends.
Pro Tip: Tap the trash icon on the left of the record button at any time to discard the current draft and start fresh.

Privacy, Safety & Account Deletion

1. Security & Data Protection

Noisy uses Supabase as its core cloud infrastructure. Row-Level Security (RLS) policies guarantee that your private recordings, chat logs, and profile info are accessible strictly to authorized connections.

2. Account & Data Deletion Instructions (App Store Guideline 5.1.1)

In accordance with Apple App Store policies, you have full ownership of your data and can delete your account at any time:

In-App Deletion Steps:

  • Open Noisy and tap the Profile tab.
  • Tap the Settings (Gear icon) at the top right.
  • Select Delete Account.
  • Confirm the prompt by typing DELETE in capital letters and tap Confirm Account Deletion.

Requesting Web Deletion:

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing our support team directly at soundhp.team@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

Permanent Action: Account deletion permanently purges all your profile data, audio note recordings, audio storage files, chat messages, and connection history. This process is irreversible.
